The Early Years has been a cherished part of the community since 1998, providing a nurturing, family-oriented environment where children thrive. While the center has been helping children grow and learn for over 25 years, our family recently acquired the center to continue its legacy and bring new energy and experience with our approach.

As a family-owned business with over 10 years of experience in the childcare industry, we’re excited to build upon the strong foundation that has already been established here. In addition to running The Early Years, we’ve also operated family home daycares, giving us a unique understanding of what families need and what young learners require to succeed.

Our Director, Mary Flores, holds over 12 years of Montessori teaching credentials, 3 years of experience as an acting director, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has worked as both a classroom and lead teacher in various Montessori preschools across the Bay Area. Since joining The Early Years in 2018, Mary has taken on a leadership role, ensuring that the center upholds the highest standards of care and education for every child.

One of our key strengths at The Early Years is the dedication and experience of our teaching staff. Many of our teachers have been with us for over 10 years, creating a stable, familiar environment where children can feel at home. Our teachers hold various qualifications, including Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology, Site Supervisor Child Development Permits, and expertise in Early Childhood Education. We believe that our long-term teacher tenure is a competitive advantage that helps foster strong, supportive relationships with children and parents.

Our Hands-On Approach to Learning

We take a play-based, Montessori-inspired approach to education, blending structured learning with opportunities for creative exploration. Our classrooms have fun themes like snowflakes, sunshine, and clouds, creating engaging spaces for children to discover and grow. Whether it’s our Train Room, Block Room, or Reading Room, we offer children the freedom to explore various areas of learning that encourage their curiosity and development.
